 On March 19, 2009 police attacked Uhuru Movement organizers Diop Olugbala and Shabaka Mnombatha in Philadelphia City Council chambers. Since then the Hands Off the City Hall 2 Campaign has consistently challenged the public policy of police containment, the $1.1 billion annual war budget for prisons and police in the city of Philadelphia. And the campaign has demanded reparations to African people in the form of the $1.1 billion for economic development for the African community, and all charges dropped against Diop and Shabaka!
